Flu activity remains sporadic in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Department of Health released their weekly flu report on the week ending Oct. 27 Tuesday.

The report states that during week 43, Arkansas reported sporadic flu activity to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Over 400 positive flu tests have been reported to the ADH since Sept. 30.

Three counties in Region 8, Craighead, Cleburne, and Jackson, reported the majority of the flu cases during week 43.

There have been two flu deaths in the state so far this season, according to the ADH. The report also states that the CDC has reported one pediatric death in the U.S. due to the flu.
