Police: Suspect in custody in connection to West Plains shooting

WEST PLAINS, MO (KAIT) - A man wanted in a shooting on Tuesday in West Plains is in custody.

West Plains police were looking for Lee H. Nazarian in connection to the shooting. He was taken into custody at the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, according to West Plains police.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, West Plains police were called to the Senior Center parking lot regarding a shooting that had already occurred.

When officers arrived, they found the victim sitting in a car with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The man told police the shooting occurred at a nearby residence on Locust Street.

According to a news release from the police department, officers went to the home and found evidence of a disturbance.

The victim was flown to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police continue to investigate.
