JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -Before Santa Claus gets too busy at the end of the year, he plans on visiting with some of the children in Jonesboro.

Santa Claus will make an appearance at the Mall at Turtle Creek for Stories in the Forest on Dec. 1.

He plans to read “The Night Before Christmas” to all the kids in attendance.

Each child will also receive their own copy of the book when they leave.

The Stories in the Forest program is sponsored by the St. Bernards Women’s Council.

Their goal is to help give parents quality time with their children and promote reading with kids by exposing them to popular books.

Santa Claus will be there at 11 a.m.

This event is free and open to the public.
