SEARCY, AR (KAIT/KARK) - For the second time this year, the Harding University community is mourning a former student who was killed unexpectedly.
Autumn Rivera was a student at Harding University in 2017 studying exercise science, Little Rock NBC affiliate KARK said.
Friends of Rivera said she moved back to Colorado, where she was from.
Police in Thornton, Col. believe Rivera’s boyfriend killed her at a Colorado apartment and drove her body over 500 miles to Powell, Wyoming.
Lexi Hoagland, a friend of Rivera’s, said she didn’t know Rivera’s boyfriend or how she met him. She does believe they were dating less than a year.
Harding University released a statement, reading in part:
“The Harding community is heartbroken over her passing and mourns with their friends and family.”
