JPD: One dead, one injured in crash at East Highland Drive and Nestle

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Greene County man was killed and another person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash at East Highland Drive and Heath Lane, according to Arkansas State Police.

A 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Charles D. Mosley of Marmaduke, was going west on East Highland Drive in the outside lane around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday when the crash happened.

The report noted that a 2018 Freightliner, driven by Brad Talcott of Lake Dallas, Texas, was going east in East Highland in the inside lane, while a 2006 Ford was going west on East Highland in the inside lane.

“Vehicle 1 (Chevrolet) lost control, crossed the middle turn lane and impacted Vehicle 2 (Freightliner) head-on,” ASP said in the preliminary fatality report. “After impact, vehicle 2 (Freightliner) then rotated back to the west bound lanes and impacted by Vehicle 3.”

Mosley was killed in the crash while Talcott was airlifted to a Memphis hospital, ASP said.

The Craighead County Coroner’s Office had been called to the scene as well as three ambulance units, according to Jonesboro E-911 Director Jeff Presley.

Presley also said Hospital Wing was also requested to go to the scene.
