JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Mississippi County Health System is now under new management.
MCHS officially entered an administrative service agreement last month with St. Bernards Healthcare.
Under the agreement, the St. Bernards group will “provide assistance and consultation to MCHS in matters of financial review, contractual accounting and cost reporting,” according to a news release from MCHS.
As a part of the SBH purchasing organization, the Mississippi County Hospital System will also be able to receive necessary supplies at a reduced price.
“Having a local operation like St. Bernards that understands this market and our patient population is a fantastic opportunity for the patients and staff members of the Mississippi County Health System, as well as the Osceola and Blytheville communities,” said Chris Raymer, CEO of MCHS. “We are looking forward to a long and productive relationship with St. Bernards.”
Darren Caldwell, senior vice president of regional services for SBH, echoed Raymer’s enthusiasm.
“At St. Bernards, our mission is to provide Christ-like healing to the community and, in our continued efforts to provide services to more individuals, we are proud to enter into this agreement.”
