JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - We’re helping you plan your day today on Good Morning Region 8.

Today's forecast: We are still keeping a close eye on the weekend.

A strong storm system is just coming into Southern California.

This storm will be moving into Region 8 late Friday into Saturday, spreading several types of precipitation over the area.

Right now, some area will have a cold rain while others will see a combination of sleet, snow, and freezing rain.

Details of the forecast will become more clear in the next day or so, but accumulations are possible.

In the meantime, we will see some clouds and cool temperatures.
