Police: Man uses bat, truck to cause damage in neighborhood
A Craighead County man is accused of causing nearly $55,000 worth of damage to a gate and several vehicles in a Jonesboro neighborhood, police said Wednesday.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Craighead County man is accused of causing nearly $55,000 worth of damage to a gate and several vehicles in a Jonesboro neighborhood, police said Wednesday.

Donnie Ollis of Jonesboro was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief-1st degree greater than $25,000 in connection with a Nov. 24 incident at Bradley and North Culberhouse.

According to a probable cause affidavit, officers found a man ramming a gate to a gated community and breaking windows out of vehicles when they arrived.

Ollis was taken into custody and police also recovered the baseball bat. Officers also found Ollis’ truck at the scene.

A $2,500 cash/surety bond was set for Ollis, who will be arraigned Jan. 31 in circuit court.
