GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Alcoholic Beverage Control board has upheld a decision to deny the replacement and transfer of location application for Donald R. Nicholas.
According to Scott Hardin with the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, the board determined there was not a public need for the establishment.
In October, then-ABC director Mary Robin Casteel originally denied the application to transfer the liquor license for the Bulldog Liquor store in Paragould to the Old Country Store in Sedgwick.
The board also expressed concern regarding a driveway that is located near the Highway 63 bridge over the Cache River.
Nicholas' next option, if they choose to take it, is to appeal the board’s decision to circuit court.
