JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Dozens of people got in the Christmas spirit tonight at the St. Bernards Santa Shuffle.
Runners came decked out in Christmas sweaters and lights to take part in the race.
The Santa Shuffle was the last event in the Get in Gear series, a project started by Gearhead and St. Bernards to encourage a fun, active lifestyle.
“I think it’s just a way to get some exercise, you know to discover that you do like to run races." said Marketing and Sales Director for St. Bernards Pat Farmer, "That they’re fun and you get to meet people.”
This is the third year the Get in Gear series has held the Santa Shuffle.
“Every year it gets bigger and bigger.” said Farmer. “It’s just a great event for us to have for our community.”
Over 200 people participated in the race, and everyone got to go home with a medal and a shirt.
They also offered hot chocolate and a chance to get a picture with Santa.
