LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - Austin Cook was in the Capital City today. The JHS and Razorback alum visited the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Cook contributed to a research project with the orthopaedics department. They’re studying movement patterns and muscle use of golfers.
So who better to ask than a PGA Tour winner with a biology degree that had medical school as a fallback plan. Austin is making the turn to 2019 and fatherhood.
“Yeah, January 17th, we’re T-minus 5 weeks,” Cook said. “It really depends on...the situation I’m in this year and can technically not make the playoffs and still have my card next season. I want to be there for my first child. Right now I’m going to start at the Waste Management. Little girl is due Palm Springs week, but I don’t want to go to Torrey the week after that. So I’ll start in Phoenix.”
