JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police say someone used a Jonesboro woman’s stolen credit card to go on a shopping spree for designer duds.
When the 61-year-old victim got her American Express bill on Monday, she noticed several charges that she had not authorized.
According to the initial incident report, someone had used the card to make the following purchases:
- $270.17 on Nov. 15 at 10:01 a.m. from Dillard’s for a Calvin Klein item
- $488.25 on Nov. 20 at 8:58 a.m. from Dillard’s for a designer item
- $488.25 on Nov. 21 at 3:27 p.m. from Dillard’s for a designer item.
Officer Jeremiah Jones ran the listed name on the items’ tracking orders and located the 55-year-old suspect’s name and Jonesboro address. If arrested, the suspect could face felony charges of fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of $5,000 or less.
Jones added the suspect’s information to the report and told the victim to cancel the card. He also told her to contact Jonesboro police if she found any additional charges.
