FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The hammer is certainly down on the Razorback recruiting trail. Rivals ranked Arkansas' 2019 class #12 in the nation.
That’s the highest mark in Hog crootin history. Chad Morris hauled in 5 four-star players on Wednesday. Their quarterback of the future hails from Mississippi. KJ Jefferson is a dual threat that led North Panola to the 3A state semifinals. Collin Clay is a defensive end from Oklahoma.
The Hogs honed in on the trenches, signing 6 on the offensive line, 7 on the defensive line.
“We addressed a lot of deficiencies that we felt like we had to address,” said head coach Chad Morris. “Speed, size at wide receiver, depth at both the offensive and defensive lines. Guys that could immediately come in here and make an impact. Address guys that could come in in January and affect our roster and create competition. We did that with 8 guys that’ll be enrolling in January. Addressed with a quarterback to create depth, player of the year in his state. We got a lot better today as football team, as a program.”
