Arkansas State football hires 4 new assistants including offensive coordinator

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas State head football coach Blake Anderson held court for over 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon.

The headliner is staff changes including 4 new assistant coaches.

- Keith Heckendorf (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach)

- Sean Coughlin (offensive line coach/run game coordinator

- Malcolm Kelly (outside wide receivers coach)

- Jake Miller (head strength coach)

Heckendorf was briefly the Red Wolves tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator before the 2014 season. Keith coached Bears QB Mitch Trubisky at North Carolina. Coughlin comes to Jonesboro after spending several seasons at Missouri State. Kelly was a two-time 1st Team Big 12 WR at Oklahoma, and was picked by the Redskins in the 2nd Round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was recently hired as Stephen F. Austin WRs coach before coming to Jonesboro.
