MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - People across the globe are celebrating the King of Rock 'n' Roll’s birthday. Elvis Presley would have turned 84 years old Tuesday.
It’s been a day of celebration a Elvis' home in Memphis. It started with a proclamation of Elvis Presley Day by Memphis and Shelby County officials, then birthday cake at Graceland followed by an auction of rare Elvis items from around the world.
Among the unique items up for grabs is the 1957 sale contract from when Elvis originally purchased Graceland. A rare 1955 concert poster for a Memphis show and an engraved bible given to Elvis in 1957 were also up for auction.
All of the items were authenticated by Graceland Authenticated.
