MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) - A Baxter County man was taken to a hospital this week after a crash that caused a chain reaction as well as damaging a home.
According to a report from Mountain Home radio station KTLO, police said Michael Fretueg of Mountain Home was going north on Meadowbrook Drive Jan. 8 when the vehicle left the road and struck a parked car, knocking it into a residence.
Police say the man tried to back out after the crash but the vehicle would not move, KTLO reported.
“Law enforcement found him slumped over and unresponsive to commands and yelling,” KTLO reported. “A Mountain Home police officer was able to get the vehicle window down, grab the keys and open the door to reach Fretueg. The report noted Fretueg resisted efforts from both law enforcement and emergency medical personnel, as they tried to render aid.”
There was at least $15,000 worth of damage to the house, $10,000 damage to the parked vehicle and $8,500 worth of damage to Fretueg’s vehicle, KTLO reported.
