Mayor’s office reshaped after administrative restructuring

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Two new responsibilities and title changes in Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin’s administration in 2019 came about due to administrative restructuring.

In a news release from the City of Jonesboro, former Chief Financial Officer Bill Reznicek is now chief of staff. Trever Harvey was named director of finance.

With the change, the positions of chief operations officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO) were eliminated.

Perrin said with the changes, the business management experience of Reznicek and knowledge of Harvey will be better utilized.

The release states that by eliminating the position of COO, the promotions were made while decreasing the the city’s payroll.

Harvey was finance manager from 2016 to 2017 after serving as an accounting tech.

Reznicek will manage most departments, apart from the police and fire departments as chief of staff.
