Man arrested after suspected drugs found in bedroom

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after following another man with felony warrants to a home in Blytheville.

In a news release, an off-duty officer spotted Kevin Real at a gas station in Blytheville, who he knew had outstanding warrants.

The deputy followed Real to a home in the 3700-block of Trent Road in Blytheville and watched him walk into the house.

Deputies were dispatched to the home and were given permission to enter the home.

They found Real attempting to hide behind a bed in the home.

While arresting Real, deputies spotted suspected ecstasy pills and suspected marijuana by the bed.

Deputies notified Drug Task Force Special Agent Brice Hicks and Sgt. Jeremy Sharp with the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies found 171 suspected ecstasy pills, drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of marijuana.

After an interview, Britman admitted to owning the items found.

He was charged possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
