PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A Pulaski County man is facing a multitude of charges after authorities say he was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle with a handgun in his lap.
According to a media release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Jake Alexander Pollard of Little Rock was arrested Feb. 6 on suspicion of residential burglary, possession of meth, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearm, theft by receiving, possession with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.
Authorities said a local farmer found a vehicle, reportedly stolen out of Mississippi, stuck in a field. From there, deputies got a call about a residence in the area being broken into with items missing.
Deputies also discovered Pollard reportedly attempting to steal a car from a farm shop and that the gun was reported stolen from Jonesboro, police said.
Deputies then recovered stolen property from the residence and items reportedly taken from Benton and Mississippi, as well as meth during a search, police said.
A $100,000 cash bond was set for Pollard.
