JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The month of February is Black History Month, and the A-State campus kicked it off with the annual soul food dinner.

The Strong-Turner Alumni Association and the Multicultural Center hosted the 14th annual gathering.

The event offered food, fellowship, and a few speakers and singers to celebrate the importance of Black History Month.

“This event is part of our black history month calendar of events and so people come together from all over our community, faculty, staff, students to celebrate,” said Multicultural Center Director Dr. Evette Allen.

The Multicultural Center has several events planned throughout the month to celebrate Black History Month, and you can find those on their website.
