BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a shooting Feb. 11 in which a man was killed.

According to a media release from Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson, the juvenile was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of Travis Pearson.

Blytheville police went to the Pear Tree Apartments around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 11 after getting a call about the shooting.

Officers later found Pearson, who lived at the apartment complex, dead.

No bond has been set in the case, Thompson said, noting local residents played a major role in the arrest.

“We thank the citizens of Blytheville who worked with our officers to help resolve this case in a timely manner,” Thompson said.
