CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - As progress continues on the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Craighead County, businesses in the community have come together to push the project even further.
Sub-contractor Associated Engineering is donating their services, saving the county over $11,000 worth of work.
And Tuesday, another company reached out to County Judge Marvin Day, offering to donate equipment that will be needed within the facility.
"It may be a real big momentum boost for us," Day said. "That many businesses see the value of a center like this and are happy to support it, so I'm very excited about that."
On Wednesday, crews were testing the ground to make sure it will support the facility, and the architect is still working on the plans.
But, Day said these donations will save the county thousands once the project is completed.
