The Northeast Arkansas Humane Society said Friday that its dog kennels are full and they cannot accept another dog until after Feb. 26.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - An animal rescue group will not be accepting any more new dogs at its facility for a week due to its kennels being full, according to a post on the group’s Facebook page.

Officials with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society said in the post that it can not accept another dog until after a transport on Feb. 26.

“If you have found a dog in the county or need to surrender a dog, we need you to hold onto the animal until after the 26th or contact another rescue group,” the post noted. “For dog issues inside the city limits, please contact your local animal control.”
