LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery is on track to post records for the fiscal year.
According to a news release, the ASL ended January with net proceeds to scholarships exceeding $7.8 million. That is more than $1.1 million ahead of their budget.
Year-to-date, the scholarship lottery’s net proceeds are more than $7.7 million ahead of budget, and year-to-date sales at the end of January were more than $12.3 million better than the prior year.
The ASL is crediting strong instant ticket sales for the increase in performance.

In January, over $33.5 million in instant tickets were sold, making the month the third largest instant ticket sales month since the lottery began.
January was also the fourth largest month in total sales since the lottery began with more than $40.5 million worth of tickets sold.
