LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) -Taxes in Arkansas will start going down soon.
According to a media advisory, Governor Asa Hutchinson will sign a tax cut bill Tuesday.
The 5.9 Tax Cut Plan, or SB211, will reduce Arkansas’s top marginal tax rate from 6.9% to 5.9% in two years.
This is the third phase of the Governor’s three-part plan to provide substantial tax relief for all Arkansans.
It will also make Arkansas’s tax code more competitive with surrounding states.
The signing will take place in the Governor’s Conference Room at the state Capitol at 2 p.m.
