JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - How would you like to have a doctor in the palm of your hand?

That’s what one local hospital hopes to do with its new cell phone app.

Baxter Regional Medical Center announced recently it will now offer patients in Arkansas and Missouri 24-hour video access to a medical professional.

The app will allow users to conveniently consult with a doctor or nurse practitioner from the comfort of their home, car, or wherever.

“Baxter Regional CARE connects you to experienced medical providers who can consult with you and answer your urgent care questions, diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, and even send prescriptions to your local pharmacy, without needing an appointment,” according to a news release from BRMC.
