Raccoon litter found in AR dumpster

CABOT, AR (KARK/NBC News) - A reward is being offered for information on who dumped baby raccoons in a Cabot, Arkansas dumpster.

Chase and Nicole Fincher work at Fred’s Pharmacy in Cabot. They see many customers come and go, but finding baby raccoons in their dumpster is quite unusual.

“They were very cute, but it was very sad. They were in an old basket with a bunch of leaves and twigs. They were crying and squealing,” said Nicole.

She says it was clear a person dropped them off sometime Tuesday.

“At first we thought maybe the mother crawled in there and had the babies, but there is no possible way. Someone put the babies in there,” said Nicole.

The group Arkansans Assisting Homeless Animals, has increased their reward to $1300.00 for information about the person(s) responsible for abandoning the litter:
