Sheriff warns of possible police impersonator

Police impersonator in Clay Co. issued warning

CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Clay County sheriff is warning the public about a possible police impersonator.

Sheriff Terry Miller posted on Facebook Friday that the sheriff’s office received a call about a vehicle that attempted to pull someone over on Highway 49 near the Clay/Greene County line.

The vehicle is described says a white or silver colored SUV with blue lights.

Sheriff Miller said if you come in contact with a vehicle trying to pull you over, and you are unsure if it is law enforcement, call 911 immediately.

He said do not pull over if you are unsure and that a 911 operator will be able to identify if an officer is trying to pull you over.
