One dead, one injured in vehicle/pedestrian crash on Red Wolf

2 pedestrians injured in crash in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A woman was killed while a man was injured Friday night as police released more information in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian crash on Red Wolf Boulevard.

According to a post on the Jonesboro Police Department Facebook page, Sheri Adams was killed in the crash, which happened around 8:15 p.m. March 22. Adams was taken to a Jonesboro hospital, where she later died.

“Two pedestrians were struck by a Ford Taurus, driven by a 36-year-old female, in the Southbound lane on Red Wolf Boulevard near Hardee’s,” Jonesboro police said in the post.

Charles Edward Williams of Jonesboro was taken to a Memphis hospital and was listed in stable condition Saturday, according to Jonesboro police.

Police noted that there appeared to be no crosswalk where both individuals were attempting to cross the street.

Also, the driver of the car was admitted to a local hospital for further evaluation, according to police.
