CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - An alleged road rage incident on Interstate 555 on Sunday led to the arrest of a man.
According to a probable cause affidavit, an officer was advised of an incident involving a gun on the interstate.
The victim said that a passenger in a blue Chevrolet Cruze pointed a black pistol with a silver barrel at his vehicle.
The officer said he was sitting on the shoulder of the interstate when the victim drove by and began to point at the vehicle behind him.
Court documents state that the officer stopped the Chevy Cruze and spoke with the driver and passenger, Bryan Justin Bogan.
“I asked the driver if there was a firearm in the car and she said yes the passenger had his concealed carry,” the affidavit stated.
The officer asked Bogan to step out of the vehicle, read him his Miranda rights and then asked where the gun was.
Bogan told the officer it was inside his backpack.
After a search, the officer did find the gun in a backpack.
Court documents state the gun was just as the victim described it.
“The gun had a round chambered and the magazine was at full capacity with 13 bullets,” the affidavit stated.
Bogan was arrested for aggravated assault and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
On April 16, a judge found probable cause to charge Bogan with aggravated assault.
His bond was set at $35,000.
