The upper-level ridge will continue to impact our weather through the weekend causing us to see some of the warmest days in two years throughout Region 8. Highs will increase to near 100 degrees on Friday... Saturday...and Sunday with lows only falling to the low to mid 70s.     Standing water between Dixileta Drive and Happy Valley Road forced the Arizona Department of Transportation to close northbound traffic on I-17 at Happy Valley Road.
    There was a daring rescue, one of many, in the far Northwest Valley, where an elderly woman was trapped inside her minivan as water slowly pushed her partially submerged vehicle downstream.
