NEWPORT, AR (KAIT) - A Tuckerman man was killed Tuesday afternoon in an accident just north of Newport.
According to Arkansas State Police around 3pm Tuesday, Tommy Wayne Emory was driving north on Highway 67 when he crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck head on.
James Gatlin of Alton, Missouri was the drive of the semi, and suffered only minor injuries in the accident.
Emory was pronounced dead on the scene, both men were wearing their seatbelts.
