Tigers Golf finish eighth in Tennessee

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn.- Mizzou finished in eighth place at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges after shooting a final round 300 on Sunday. The Tigers finished with a three-round total of 876, finishing one shot behind seventh-place Wake Forest and two behind sixth-place East Tennessee.

Tenneessee and Oregon State tied for first with 54-hole totals of 861, with Tennessee claiming the title with the fifth-score tiebreaker.

Redshirt freshman Jace Long turned in the best score of the day for Missouri, carding a final round 73. He claimed the best finish for the Tigers, tying for 11th place with a215 score. Freshman Stuart Ballingall tied for 25th spot with a 219 total after shooting a 77 on Sunday.

Junior William Harrold recorded a round of 75 to finish with a three-round total of 221, placing in a tie for 34th spot. Sophomore Chris Johnson tied for 49th place with a 225 score, while freshman Michael Garden tied for 63rd place with a 228 total.

Mizzou will conclude its fall schedule with the Aldila Intercollegiate on Oct. 26-27 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
