NEWARK, AR (KAIT) - A Paragould man died in a single car accident just north of Newark early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on state highway 122 just north of Newark in Independence County.
According to Arkansas State Police, 22-year-old Cody Shopher of Paragould crashed his S-U-V into a tree around 2 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Police say Shopher was not wearing his seat belt.
This is the 480th fatal accident Arkansas State Police have worked this year.
