Jonesboro, AR (KAIT) - The Craighead County Community Foundation was presented a $10,000 check to start a hunger relief endowment Wednesday.
Foundation member Jerry Brackett says the money will be put into an interest bearing account to fight hunger every year. Interest from the account will be given to various organizations in the county that fight hunger. They hope the endowment grows each year.
The group wants to put more money in the account, but needs your help. Brackett says every donation, large and small is accepted. He says a dollar given today will help fight hunger forever.
