PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A two vehicle head-on collision involving eight people ends with one dead and another airlifted to the hospital.
It happened sometime around 6 p.m. when a Chevy Tahoe with five people inside was driving west bound on Highway 412 East. A Mazda 6 was driving the opposing direction and, according to Paragould Police, attempted to turn left from the outside lane onto 16th Street.
The passenger in the Mazda, Jennifer Myers, 57 of Paragould died in the crash. According to an Arkansas State Police report, she was not wearing a seatbelt. The car was driven by Derick Myers, 22 of Paragould. The driver of the Chevy, Richard Leisure, 29 of Paragould and two of his passengers who are under the age of 10 were injured in the crash.
