
Jonesboro (KAIT) - After 56 games in 7 days, the 65th NEA Tournament turned into chalk. The top 2 seeds in each division advanced to the four title games Wednesday night at the Convocation Center.
Westside beat defending champion Jonesboro 70-61 in the Boys Upper Division in a back and forth tilt. The Boys Lower Division title game was a rematch of the Gerald Jennings Invitational championship 12 days ago. And just like the first matchup, East Poinsett County beat Manila 53-40.
The Girls side of the bracket featured two successful title defenses. Nettleton beat Jonesboro 52-34 in the Upper Division, and Cave City took care of Bay 61-38 in the Lower Division.
