BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 man charged with the murder of a pregnant woman appeared in a Mississippi County courtroom Monday.
Justin Mangum is charged with 2 counts of 1st degree murder.
Blytheville Police say Mangum confessed to shooting Sonya Stokes on January 25th of 2009 at her home. Stokes was 8 months pregnant at the time of the murder.
The prosecutor's office says Mangum is scheduled to appear in court again on Monday the 11th, but believes the case will be pushed back to April because of a backlog.
Mangum is still being held at the Mississippi County Jail on a $2 million bond.
