Craighead County judge expands court's amnesty warrants

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -  If you have any outstanding warrants, now is the time to pay up.

Once again, Craighead County District Judge Keith Blackman is offering a warrant amnesty. The warrant amnesty has been expanded to include warrants for the additional charges of Revocation of Probation and Contempt of Court/Public Service Work Warrant.

Certain warrants issued before January 1st may be dismissed, extra fines dropped and driving privileges reinstated.

All you have to do is turn yourself in to the arresting police agency between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, pay the underlying charges or tickets in full plus a $50 warrant service fee at the time they surrender, complete all prior sentencing as ordered by the court such as public service, etc. and pay any restitution owned.

Some people may be required to make a court appearance due to possible restitution, victim's rights or if the underlying charges carry jail time or other requirements.
