NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Mike Conley hit two free throws with 1.1 seconds left in overtime, and the Memphis Grizzlies grabbed the Western Conference's No. 7 seed away from Dallas by edging the Mavericks 106-105 Wednesday night in the regular season finale. Memphis became the seventh team in the West with 50 wins this season.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart says the criticism former men's basketball coach Cuonzo Martin encountered this season shouldn't hinder the search for a successor. Martin led Tennessee to an NCAA regional semifinal during a season in which disgruntled fans circulated a petition calling for the return of former coach Bruce Pearl.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Vanderbilt has added 6-foot-7 forward Jeff Roberson to its recruiting class. Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings said in a university statement that "his versatility is a big asset because he does so many things well on the basketball court."

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi has added junior college standout Roderick Lawrence and Tennessee-Martin transfer Terrence Smith to its recruiting class. Lawrence averaged 13.1 points last season at South Plains (Texas) College. Smith is a guard who's played for Tennessee-Martin the past three seasons and led the team with 14.6 points per game as a junior.
