JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Lt. Stan Finley of the Lawrence County Sheriff's office tells Region 8 News that 43-year-old Michael Hodges of Imboden has been arrested and will be charged with 1st degree murder in the killing of his wife, 39-year-old Sherri Hodges.

Lt. Finley says Mrs. Hodges died of blunt force trauma sometime over the weekend.

The arrest came just after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Lt. Finley says Michael Hodges was arrested without incident. Arkansas State Police aided in this investigation.

Michael Hodges' 1st court appearance will be Thursday.
