JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A memorial fund has been created for an 11-year-old girl who died after she became trapped beneath a pipe in a water-filled ditch for 20 minutes.
Kyria Seymour of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 19, at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. A memorial fund has been created for an 11-year-old girl who died after she became trapped beneath a pipe in a water-filled ditch for 20 minutes.

After ten years in television, KAIT presented a new challenge for Craig Rickert. He started out his career covering sports in Iowa and Alabama.  Then in 2002, KAIT gave him the chance to move to the news desk.  Now in his 20th year in television, Craig serves KAIT as lead anchor and reporter on Region 8 News at 5, 6 and 10.

Craig married his wife Sarah in 2008 and have two sons, Michael John and Jackson.  Craig also has a daughter, Taylor. Craig loves to play basketball and watch football. In the fall, you can usually find him in front of the tv cheering on his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes.

Craig's favorite thing about Region 8 is the people. "I don't think I've ever been in a place where everyone is so friendly." he says. "My family and I look forward to making many new friends here in Region 8."
