Justin Logan

Justin Logan joined the Region 8 Storm TEAM as Morning/Midday Meteorologist in August 2013. His forecasts can be seen on Good Morning Region 8 and Region 8 News Midday.
He was born and raised in the heart of the Bluegrass, near Lexington, KY. Weather has been a lifelong passion of Justin's that was sparked by a tornado outbreak when he was in elementary school. From that day forward he knew th...at he wanted to be a Broadcast Meteorologist to let people know about the weather and keep them safe during severe weather.
Justin attended Western Kentucky University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology along with a minor in Broadcast News. While at WKU he was part of the Storm Team and the award winning student newscast, ‘NewsChannel 12'.
After graduation, Justin landed his first job as a Freelance Meteorologist at the station he grew up watching, WTVQ-TV in Lexington, KY. He then joined KAIT-TV (the first time around) as Weekend Meteorologist in November 2008. After more than two years with the Region 8 Storm TEAM, he was promoted within Raycom Media, becoming the Weekend Meteorologist at WTVM-TV in Columbus, GA in July 2011.
Justin has experience covering and forecasting everything from winter storms to tornadoes and even a few tropical systems. He brings valuable experience covering severe weather to the Region 8 Storm TEAM. His favorite type of weather is snow, and hopes to see a lot of it this winter, since he didn't see any the last few years in Georgia. He is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.
When Justin isn't in the weather center, he is either involved with his church, watching his beloved Kentucky Wildcats, catching his favorite TV shows, or spending time with friends and family.
If you see him around town, he invites you to come over and introduce yourself. If you have any questions about the weather just shoot him an e-mail at jlogan@kait8.com. Justin is proud to call Region 8 home, once again.
