Josh Harvison has been a part of the Region 8 News Team for approximately three years before he was promoted to his current role of reporter/video journalist. Prior to that, the Trumann native had worked mostly behind the scenes as the show's producer. He began his KAIT career as a studio camera operator before working his way through the ranks to his current position.
After graduating from Trumann High School in 2002, Josh attended Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge on baseball and academic scholarships before transferring to Arkansas State University, where he earned his degree in radio-television, with an emphasis in broadcast news.
Josh's hobbies include almost any sport, but baseball definitely ranks as his favorite. "I also like to root on the Dallas Cowboys, hopefully on their way to the Super Bowl," said Josh.
Since his senior year of high school, "I've wanted to tell the news," Harvison said. "I've wanted to tell stories about viewers because there are people out there who need help, and if I can help them, then that's what I want to do.
