    In his first professional fight in his hometown of New Orleans, Regis Prograis successfully defended his WBC Super Lightweight title, defeating Juan Jose Velasco by TKO in the eighth round, Saturday night at the UNO Lakefront Arena.

    A father and son in Moss Point are facing charges after a large-scale drug investigation turned up more than 16 pounds of cocaine, as well as cash, pills, a gun, and pounds of marijuana.
