The Pioneers won 6 straight games to claim a share of the 5A East title. But a rare circumstance for the black and orange: a 1st Round loss in the playoffs.

It was a banner year in 2017 for Southside. The Southerners were 10-2, won the 4A-2 title and reached the 2nd round of the playoffs.

FFN Two-a-Days: Hoxie

The Mustangs returned to the playoffs in 2017 after a 2-win 2016. Hoxie will have a rare commodity: A three year starter at quarterback.

She's a senior and one of Hoxie's kickers.
