Eating Healthy, Staying Healthy

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -- Eating healthy and living healthy.  Chef Kathleen Daelemans spoke to a couple hundred people on Saturday afternoon about making the right food choices.

Daelemans was the featured speaker at the Women's Health Conference hosted by the Cardiology Associates Foundation.  She said eating healthy is one key to staying healthy.

"Heart disease is preventable.  Type two diabetes is preventable.  High blood pressure is something you can control.  High cholesterol is something you can control through food and you don't have to give up the foods that you love," said Daelemans.

The health conference offered free medical screenings and seminars to women.
