LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas is guaranteed a spot in the Women's National Invitation Tournament after seven Southeastern Conference teams received bids to the NCAA tourney.
The WNIT awards an automatic berth to each conference, which goes to the top team from the regular season standings not in the NCAA tournament. Arkansas was eighth in the SEC, but every team above the Razorbacks is in the NCAA field, announced Monday night.
Arkansas-Little Rock will also receive an automatic WNIT bid.
The WNIT matchups are expected Monday night.
The Arkansas women are 17-12 on the season, while UALR is 26-6.
