ASU bowling awaits bid to 2009 NCAA Bowling Championships

JONESBORO, Ar - The sixth-ranked Arkansas State women's bowling team will await a bid to the 2009 NCAA Bowling Championships Wednesday night after finishing the regular season at 81-27.

The Red Wolves earned top-5 finishes in seven of the eight tournaments this year, including winning the Griffin Invitational in St. Louis, Mo.  The team finished second at the Central Region Fall Jamboree, Capital City Collegiate Classic and the Greater Ozark Invitational.  ASU finished third at the Maverick Challenge, fourth at the Holiday Classic, fifth at the Music City Classic and eighth at the Mid-Winter Invitational.
