Man fatally stabbed in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -- The Joneboro Police Department is investigating an early Sunday morning stabbing that left one man dead.

Police responded to a disturbance at 221 Steele Avenue around 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning and found a white male stabbed in the chest.  The victim was transported to St. Bernards where he died a short time later.

Four hours later police arrested 28-year-old James Ted Hall, Junior.  Hall is charged with first degree murder and will be in court for a probable cause hearing on Tuesday.  The victim's name is being withheld until the police can notify the family.
